Galileo

Vibration therapy for pediatric neurological recovery

At Neuroinsight we use the Galileo vibration platform, an advanced technology based on the principle of the natural movement of human gait. The Galileo machine generates a lateral-alternating movement that naturally mimics the balance of the pelvis during walking, thus facilitating the recovery and neuromotor development of children.

What is Galileo therapy?

Galileo therapy is part of the Whole Body Vibration (WBV) category or Whole Body Vibration therapy. The Galileo platform transmits mechanical vibrations to the body of the child while standing, sitting, lying down or kneeling. These vibrations induce rapid muscle contractions and relaxations, actively stimulating the neuromuscular system and significantly contributing to motor re-education.

Benefits of Galileo therapy at Neuroinsight

We use the Galileo platform to achieve multiple therapeutic goals such as:

  • Improving balance and motor coordination;

  • Reduction of muscle spasticity;

  • Mobilization and stretching of the rigid muscles;

  • Increase muscle strength and improve motor control.

Wobbel Special Feature

A unique advantage of the Galileo platform is the Wobbel function, which generates random and varied vibration frequencies during the therapeutic session (between 5 and 30 Hz). This continuous variation prevents the muscles from adapting to a constant stimulus, forcing the body to constantly adapt and respond effectively to various motor challenges. Thus, Galileo therapy ensures the maximum efficiency of each therapeutic session for pediatric neurological recovery.
